I haven't seen the film yet; not sure if I will. Women in general cannot throw a man around so I know what you mean when you talk about there not being any 'weight' behind the punches and throws and it makes me roll my eyes to see the men practically throwing themselves around. Unless the woman in the film is playing a superhero like Wonder Woman, there is no way any of that is possible. It does kind of take you out of the film when actors like Johannsen behave in films like they are super powered when they are not. Believe it or not, it doesn't take a lot of weight or power to knock somebody out. And I've seen little women do it to big men in real life. But there has to be impact and follow through. And that is where many female actresses (and even male actors sometimes) fail. Without impact and follow through, it just looks fake. |

Karen Gillan wants Jennifer Lawrence and Meryl Streep for the sequel. That could be kind of fun. Has Streep ever done an action movie before?
