What is with users here and remakes is there some pagan cult on this forum that forbids remake love or what it's fucking annoying. The remake had Denzel Washington, John Travolta and an Iceland prostitute joke I'll pick the remake. Users please be original with your choices.

The original. That said, the remake is enjoyable and works as a competent action picture. I’ve got no problem with the remake. It’s just a case of the original simply being better, IMO.
It’s hard to believe the director of the 1974 film, Joseph Sargent, went on to helm the horrible JAWS: The Revenge. Also, it has Robert Shaw in the role right before he was in JAWS. Interesting bit of trivia.
