OK ... my vote was 5. But, I haven't had a "CHARLESTON CHEW," in 400 years. I didn't know that they were still on the market. And, I've never seen "minis."
In the '50s/'60's, they were popular at movie theaters. The nougat "chewed," into a nice, smooth mouth-feel.
A close "cousin," was the "BIG HUNK," which wasn't covered in chocolate, and had shards of peanuts in it, but was the same consistency of nougat.

5 - room temperature 7 - frozen I don't know about "minis," but a frozen bar can be smashed against the counter, and yield some bite-sized pieces.

8. Very solid, especially when frozen. It's odd as I prefer vanilla and chocolate over strawberry in almost anything but the strawberry Charleston Chew is my favorite!

I like them but like you, divtal, I don't know the last time I had one. |

My nearest Dollar Store got shut down (along with a Grocery Outlet, a Ross Dress for Less and a Rite-Aid)... they were in a little strip mall that's being torn down to make way for a big condo complex or some such. I will miss all of those stores, as I used to visit them frequently.
enigma72 , nutsberryfarm 🏜 We just got a new Ross, but I haven't been yet. That is too bad. Those are good stores zolo only place i can get dad's root beer for some reason!
