Been a decade since we first met Caesar and he launched an unexpectedly good trilogy. Second best in the trilogy after the sequel IMO, although the most common criticism was the semi-awkward romance between Franco and Pinto.

Such a great movie!!!!!!! How time flies. I loved it, and I love the new trilogy. Visit my POTA website focused on the definitive timelines of the original PLANET OF THE APES pentalogy, as well as the 1974 TV series and Burton's 2001 remake/reimagining: TIME TRAVELLING ON THE PLANET OF THE APESpotaplanetoftheapes.blogspot.com

A pleasant surprise and a solid start to a good reboot trilogy.

My least favorite of the new trilogy, but still pretty good.

A solid movie. Performances range from good to great. But the best was certainly to come.

After Tim Burton's shaky reboot a good decade earlier, I had low expectations coming into this movie. Blew me away. Superb characterization, well-developed story and exciting action sequences. Starts out as a family drama and ends up as The Great Escape with apes. Perhaps the greatest reboot of a franchise in existence.

Finished rewatching the trilogy last night. Does anyone think Dawn and War should've swapped titles? There was more fighting in the second one than the third which actually has "War" in the title.

Yeah, lol.
I think that they named "War" as such because they had been inspired by BATTLE FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES in terms of plot.
