In my lifetime?

No Islamic takeover in my lifetime is not possible in India.

But can Islam overtake India in let's say 2100-2175 AD? Yes, totally possible. 

The thing is that if a territory is overtaken by Islam then there is very less chance of making it secular again. So how do you intent to make Saudi Arabia or Pakistan non-Muslim? You can't because state laws help to keep Islam in force. Let alone preaching your religion in those countries,  even questioning Islam means threat to your life.

But the same doesn't happen in non-Muslim countries. You are not going to forcefully keep other religions. And there are leftist/liberal forces working in India. Almost every educational institution is overrun by leftists who provide protection to Muslims by labelling people Islamophobic if they show criticism towards Islam. Basically leftists thrive on minority support. The Muslims vote as a block and ensure that whoever keeps their interest first wins the election.

So here is population of Muslims in India from 1951. 

1951 - 9.9% of India population
1961 - 10.7%
1971 - 11.2%
1981 - 11.4%
1991 - 12.1%
2001 - 13.4%
2011 - 14.2%

Let's see Hindu population of Bangladesh since 1951

1951 - 22%
1961 - 18.5%
1974 - 13.5%
1981 - 12.1%
1991 - 10.5%
2001 - 9.6%
2011 - 8.5%

It's very obvious that Islam is doing part by part takeover. Pakistan's Hindu population is just 2%. Pakistan has a few leftist/liberal too but they are not powerful enough to do any significant damage to Islam. But India has Muslims and liberals who would work together to gift India to Muslims in a 100-150 years time.
