Citizen Kane makes perfect sense. The other choices are random

Yeah, I think the Citizen Kane announcement makes a lot of sense, but I'm not sure why the other ones were chosen. Oh well, it'll work. I really don't want to have to rebuy a lot of my old titles though.

Personally, I'd prefer them to release more otherwise unavailable titles, instead of constantly upgrading things, but that's obviously where the market is.

They're five years late to the 4K disc party.

Citizen Kane is having its 80th anniversary, so it's perfect for that film.

Barnes and Noble, please don’t display three of these 4K Blu-rays in a row on a shelf

Random or political? It sounds like they were picked to satisfy target groups or genres which most people probably don't care about.
Menace II Society?
Come on.
I wonder how 4k works with lower budget films--the 2k version of Evil Dead sometimes looked incredibly good for a movie blown up from 16mm. But even standard 35mm could look very grainy at 2k. Does it do any good to have a 4k version of The Thing with Two Heads or Scars of Dracula? I imagine the grain must be very prominent--a Harryhausen film would been significant work to disguise the prominent grain of the FX sequences.

The same over exposed classics for the quick greedy profit only rather than including never before seen classics.
