For that donation, Jim Bakker will send you two books, a CD, and a DVD – but WAIT, there’s more. You also get a “miracle blanket” which will help you pay your bills. You just put all those dunning notices and threats under the blanket and, voila, a miracle happens and you can pay them off.
This immediately raises a couple of questions. Why don’t his followers just use their $1,000 to pay their bills? And, if Bakker needs to pay HIS bills, why doesn’t he use the blanket? Hmmm. Could this be another scam? Nah! My thousand dollars is in the mail.
