The Native Americans used to do this (I guess a "spirit journey" of sorts). I keep thinking of trying it (never done shrooms or peyote though)

I don't know if this counts, but I once did ayahuasca in the Amazon rainforest with a Peruvian shaman. It was an interesting experience just for the cultural aspects, although the ayahuasca didn't do much for me. I do trance work anyway, so I couldn't even tell if the ayahuasca was working. Most people do it for healing or finding answers, and I guess I personally didn't need either of those things. It was still interesting, though. I've never done mushrooms or peyote or any other hallucinogens, so I can't comment on that. If you do decide to try it, you should come back and tell us how it went.

I did mushrooms in a hotel room in Amsterdam but that's about it.

I've done woods, beaches and museums. Fun times!

You should go ask Alice when she's ten feet tall.

Yes, about a year ago. Mushrooms. Was grieving the loss of my favorite cousin and not being there for him due to a misunderstanding in communication.
Sat by a stream, wrote, recorded, cried a lot, philosophized. Though I was fairly close to the trails and people, I had found a secluded path in. A few people found their way down. I tried to keep it together, but I know one family turned back when they saw me crying.
Also took some in the woods a few decades back with my ex. That was nice. My few times taking LSD were in safe spaces.

Yes.
I don't take as much as I used to though. Just small amounts.
Psychedelics should be treated with respect, like a sacrament.

It's not new:
I Samuel 19:
I just wonder what they were burning because it sounds like it was making them high. And it gives some pretty good incite on what is meant by prophesying in the OT.

I'd rather find 'altered states' through meditation. I got the book How to Change you Mind on my library site; I didn't know what it was about, lol. It's all about drugs and their history Interesting
