There's a biographical film about Roddenberry in the works.

A biopic of Gene sounds like a great idea, I tend to think of his experiences with Trek as quite tragic and these made into a film could make an interesting watch

Flag and anthem of the United Federation of Planets And all this time I thought that this was the anthem of the United Federation of Planets I'm not sure if that ever was meant to be an "In The Show" Anthem for the UFP... It was a main theme for the show and movies... and sometimes it was a musical QUE to represent the Enterprise... What I posted, originates from the "Deep Space Nine" episode: "Take Me Out To The Holosuite"... The "Niners" play a baseball game against the "Logicians". The "Logicians" players were from a Federation Ship, with all Vulcan crew... The music was played just before the game commenced... Also the stadium was flying a Federation Flag. Clearly this music was intended to represent "The United Federation Of Planets"... as both teams had most of their players from the Federation... While some members of the "Niners" were not part of the Federation, they were living on a Federation space station. In Terms Of Cannon... the music from "Take Me Out To The Holosuite" was a direct on screen reference to the UFP, and that takes priority over the beliefs of fans. Either way though, both are great pieces of music. And since the original theme, was rarely used in the later shows, I figured, the DS9 music might be more appropriate to listen to, for celebrating Gene Roddenberry's birthday, since he created the Franchise, and personally influenced several shows and movies, and not just the "one".

Thank you for the reminder and the explanation. And thanks for the clip from the episode. I noted that the Vulcan players all hold their caps over where their hearts would be - if they were human. As McCoy noted about Spock in "A Private Little War":
