I have read 'The Shining' and 'Dr. Sleep', but not read any others. I have seen 'The Shining' (but not 'Dr. Sleep'), seen 'Carrie', 'Christine', 'Misery' and my all-time favorite King movie 'The Dead Zone'. I definitely recommend seeing Doctor Sleep. I thought it was a very solid adaptation that took into consideration the both novels and the Shining movies changes and incorporated it all into a nice blend that made sense. I thought the actors portraying Danny, Abra, Rose the Hat and Crow Daddy all did amazing. Snakebite Andi was good too, if more minor. There aren't many books i wouldn't recommend from King. If you like his style of writing you'll probably enjoy most of them.

I am aware of his work. I just read 1408 first time, a couple of nights ago. I found that hardcover anthology while moving some boxes. Pretty spooky.

The story on the Night Shift cover, the hand with the eyes on the fingerprints, is I Am the Doorway and it’s one of the creepiest stories to me. But eyes in weird places always freaks me out.

I pulled out Night Shift so I could read a couple more stories this week. I haven't read any from that book in a long time.

I've read them all. The Dark Tower being my favorite fiction. My username is an unseen character in the series (I brought down Roland's country, Gilead). A lot are stinkers. Most of the stuff between Eyes of the Dragon and Under the Dome aren't all that good, DT novels excepted. But a lot of his newer stuff is good, Doctor Sleep, 11/22/63, Mr. Mercedes.
My top 10, outside Dark Tower
1. The Shining 2. It 3. The Stand 4. Mr. Mercedes 5. Doctor Sleep 6. Christine 7. 11/22/63 8. Pet Sematary 9. Eyes of the Dragon 10. The Green Mile

The Good Man isn't in the novel but one of the Big Coffin Hunters sees him (Clay Reynolds, I believe). Reynolds told Eldred Jonas that everytime he looked at Farson, he looked different. So I guess that could be him.
Spoilers,
You a fan of the series, Marv? I've ran across few but I loved every page. Most of the hater hated the ending. That Roland didn't kill Walter and Modred did. Roland couldn't kill The Man in Black. He shot at him twice and missed. Ka. And people hated what was at the top of the Dark Tower. I thought it was cold but awesome. King tells you to stop when Roland entered TDT. "You don't need the finale" or something like that. And there were clues. "Ka, like a wheel"
King said that of his zillion zillion sentences he's wrote, the best was...
"The Man in Black fled across the Desert and the Gunslinger followed". I agree
