A direct sequel to Batman Returns with an older Bruce in his final years as Batman.
Now that they have Keaton back they’d be idiots not to do this. If done right it would be a huge success.

Apparently they almost did make a Batman Beyond movie back in the 2000s to be directed by Boaz Yakin (Remember the Titans; Uptown Girls).

NO, NOT BURTON.
He sucks. I love BB and don’t want little gothic prop boy Burton anywhere near Batman Beyond.

WB can’t even seem to make up their minds about whether or not the Burton Batman movies are in continuity with the Schumacher ones.

No. After Indiana Jones I’m so sick of these old guys trying to relieve their glory action days. It’s embarrassing.

It's pretty weird recasting Batman twice but I thought for sure they're the same universe. Michael Gough as Alfred, the house, etc.

The team behind the Flash movie seem to be treating them as separate, and there’s currently a comic book continuation of the Burton films that ignores the Schumacher movies.

WB can’t even seem to make up their minds about whether or not the Burton Batman movies are in continuity with the Schumacher ones. It's called a fucking multiverse.

I know what a “fucking multiverse” is. There’s just been some inconsistency from WB regarding whether or not the Batman in the Burton films is the same as the ones in the Schumacher films.

There’s just been some inconsistency from WB regarding whether or not the Batman in the Burton films is the same as the ones in the Schumacher films. Your last sentence contradicts your first. If you know what a multiverse is you wouldn't still be confused about which Batman is which. Yes both Batmen sharing the same Robin I've already included in that.

Let me put this in simple terms for you; according to the Arrowverse team, the Burton films and the Schumacher films are in the same universe. Meanwhile, according to the team behind the Flash movie, they apparently aren’t.

The Burton and Schumacher films are in the same multiverse not the same universe.

Burton/Keaton will always be my favourite (Snyder/Affleck is my close-second), so I'd never be opposed to them bringing them back to do BATMAN BEYOND. Besides, from what I recall, isn't the idea of BB that Bruce knows he's at the end of his time as Batman, and he's sort of figuring out how to be more of an Alfred and letting the 'kids' be the vigilantes who go out and fight crime physically? So, unlike with say Indiana Jones or Die Hard, this doesn't ask him to try to be what he was 25+ years ago. This would be more like the westerns where the old gunslinger is still fast-ish, still has an intimidating reputation, but is aware they aren't the quickdraw they used to be so they have to let the young guns handle the stuff they used to be the go-to for, and the older gunslinger is more of a wingman who doesn't have to be as-fast, just fast-enough and very accurate.
