You know, I was gonna bitch about Werner Herzog having fluked (even though I seriously do not view it as a fluke) by remaking it successfully, but if any current director besides Herzog can pull it off it has to be Eggers. I mean, what was The Lighthouse but a 21st century spin on Expressionism?

Interesting. I'm guessing he would have played the Harker type character. I'm sure it would have been really good, but I'd rather see Eggers make more original projects. |

Actually, I wish Eggers were making his own, original-concept vampire flick. Yup... as he was doing press for The Northman he sort of seemed resigned to the idea that this wasn't going to happen and he was prepping other ideas. I have no doubt that it'll be good, but an original take on a historical vampire film from Eggers would have been more special. Hell, even a legit, book-accurate version of Dracula would seem more novel. |

One assumes he will he playing the Harker-type character, and the Northman's little brother will be playing Count Orlock... which is cool, but seems a little obvious...Except that he's a bit young. |
