I've been to Chappel Fork in Marshburg, PA a few times (my first wife was from the area). To be honest, I'll be dipped if I can figure out what happened to that kid. Bear, no. Not PA black bears. Rattlesnake, no. How far could a five year old get with rattlesnake venom in her? Wandered until the poor kid died of exposure? Why no bones? Drowned, nothing close to drown in, too far from the Allegheny River. Leaves abduction. Quite possible, she was a cute little shit. But that road isn't traveled to much, it's not exactly Santa Monica Boulevard. Damn big coincidence the kid is close to the road right when a kidnapping type drives by. And she was five. Why didn't she get in contact with her parents when she got older, unless she got kidnapped by an monster. Real headscratcher  damned if she couldn't have won a Shirley Temple lookalike contest. |

Joan Risch springs to mind. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disappearance_of_Joan_RischMy theory is she was having an affair with a man who didn't take kindly to rejection, and he attacked her in her home and she fled in order to protect her sleeping son upstairs. He followed her in his car, abducted her and possibly killed her somewhere else and dumped the body someplace far from her home. If she had an abortion like the main theory seems to be and just run off in a panic when she started bleeding, she wouldn't have made it far before bleeding to death, and her body would've been found long ago even if she did go somewhere obscure. Besides, the amount of blood lost was medically determined not to have been from a life-threatening injury, and the lack of bloody footprints could also rule out an injury below the waist. As for the theory that she staged her own disappearance, it would have to have worked too well for there not to have been any sightings of her in the 60 years since, as her last possible sightings were all on the day she vanished. Considering that many people who have vanished have been reportedly seen many years after they disappeared, from Madeline McCann to Lord Lucan and even the Black Dahlia woman, the lack of reported sightings of Joan Risch would probably suggest she's dead. |

Is the platinum in the bag or Kerstetter? Can't be both. And it doesn't look like he's being robbed.
