We always talk about a certain this or that director that, if we like their work, then we would go see their next movie no matter what. Not much is said about writers though.
Which writers draw you to the theater ?

There's not a consistently good movie writer out there for me.
Good directors often use various writers in order to make the movie good.

Richard Price is a favorite of mine. He wrote the screenplays for:
The Color of Money Sea of Love Kiss of Death Ransom
and most recently wrote the HBO mini series The Night Of.

I think I pay closer attention to directors. Probably couldn't name many writers but now I'm curious if there are similar writers in my favorite films.
