I'm rewatching the Pirates movies right now, and just finished this movie. man, this movie is SO underrated from the critics standpoint. When it comes to the overall quality of the movie, story, acting etc, this movie is on par with the first one. But for me, it's even more fun.
Btw Is it me, or is there something going on between Elizabeth and Jack in this movie ? Didn't remember that. Found it very interesting, made a great dynamic for the movie.

Ya I actually like Dead Man's Chest as well. The action is really exciting and the pacing is pretty good. If Dead Men Tell No Tales is as good as this one, I'd be happy.

I liked the original trilogy as well, while the freshness obviously was lacking from the sequels I thought they were just as much fun. As far as something going on between Jack and Elizabeth, the flirting might have been take up a notch but I didn't take it too seriously. In my mind, the first three movies were more about Elizabeth than Jack, as she went from nobility (of sorts) to full-fledged pirate, even becoming their Queen. Of course the fact that my celebrity crush is Keira might color my perception a bit.

Whe she sees that the compas show her Jack, and the compas shows you what you want the most

I'll probably re-watch the trilogy just for fun before the new one opens.

It's easily the best of the films to date, the highlight of the entire franchise. I thought it was wonderful.
