My point here is there are creeps in every religion. Christianity has them and Islam has them. But Islam doesn't promote wife beating any more than Christianity does.
Sure, some "Christian" idiot could murder his wife and justify it by an adulteress being stoned in the Bible.
But it's disingenuous to say most Muslims or Christians advocate wife beating.
So gameboy , can you share any videos of any Christian clergymen (be they Protestant ministers; Catholic or Orthodox priests, etc)promoting wife beating? Off the top of my head, not wife beating. I know of one very vocal Christian pastor who promotes much worse though.

What the heck is the nutcase on about. Humanism promotes wife beating? I'm not sure what kind of perverse version of humanism this twisted fuck is talking about. This guy is playing word games like most theists. Comparing being escorted off of company property by force after refusing to leave to wife beating. What a joke. The only time someone should be escorted off of company property by force is only if security tells them to leave and they still refuse to.

I know of one very vocal Christian pastor who promotes much worse though. Well, I know there is the Westboro Baptist church, that promotes severe homophobia, by attacking funerals, etc., but, they are pretty much a law unto themselves. Even other Baptist churches condemn their acts. They aren't even an entire congregation, let alone a sect. They are a family, passing themselves off as a Baptist sect.

What about the Muslim in the video. That is just one guy. We all know that Islam in general is much harsher with women and in general than Christianity though.

Another difference is that in most places in the U.S. people won't stand for a church leader promoting wife beating, but that doesn't mean that there aren't ministers who personally wish they could promote it and aren't going home and beating their wives. Not to mention their own book promotes horrific immoral teachings that they have had to coddle because the rest of society doesn't put up with that shit anymore. Unfortunately the Middle East specifically, is still stuck in the middle ages. Not all the Middle Eastern countries, but many of them. Let's not forget that the Catholic Church has been covering for child raping priests for a long time.

It’s called Original Sin. If you're saying we are sinners for being born, I'd say you have misunderstood something along the way. Maybe that Catholic ritual of baptizing infants tripped you up.

I always found it amazing just how homosexuals will defend Islam over Christianity.

Keep in mind I believe in neither version. So you can hash this out with devout Catholics here. I asked about Christianity. You responded with Catholicism. This one is on you.

The difference between homosexuals in the western world and homosexuals in the Muslim world is that homosexuals in the western world are allowed to live on and hate on Christianity whilst defending Islam.

Actually, the husband is not SUPPOSED to beat his wife. He is to LOVE HER IN EXACTLY THE SAME WAY THAT CHRIST LOVES HIS CHURCH; BY LAYING DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HER.My point here is there are creeps in every religion. Christianity has them and Islam has them. But Islam doesn't promote wife beating any more than Christianity does.

” : Men are in charge of women by what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand.” Quran 4:34 This is a sanctioned part of Sharia law.

No "homosexual" here is defending Islam. I'm saying both Christianity and Islam have extremists who believe the same things about women and homosexuals. If you remember the old boards, quite a number of posters did bash Christianity, while supporting Islam. This does NOT make any sense! Under Sharia Law a homosexual could be thrown off of a roof top as the people of Sodom died. Homosexuality is anathema to Islam - or so the majority of both believers and non-believers suppose. Throughout the Muslim world, it is met with hostility, where state punishments range from hefty fines to the death penalty. Likewise, numerous scholars and commentators maintain that the Qur'an and Hadith rule unambiguously against same-sex relations. “Some say both should be punished the same way, some say we should throw them from a high place, like God did with the people of Lot," he said. "The important thing is to treat this like a crime.”
