And here Catman thought it was because cowboys were shown eating lots of pasta.

And here Catman thought it was because cowboys were shown eating lots of pasta. No it’s whenever Aldo Sambrell gasps in shock and said “Mamma Mia!”.

Not all of them are awesome.
There's a lot of half baked lasagna in the group.
The best of them, the Leone westerns, are pasta supreme.

There was an imdb member who was an expert on westerns, specialising in the work of Sam Peckinpah, who went by the name of Samoan Bob I think. He felt that some of John Woo's action filmmaking techniques could be seen in the work of Lucio Fulci, notably the first of Fulci's quartet of westerns, 'Massacre Time' (1966).

John Woo is one of the most overrated and over-hyped directors of all time. They credit him with inventing "gun-fu" when "gun-fu" is essentially stylized gun play, which was a staple of spaghetti westerns. Spaghetti westerns were known for their creative OTT action, which is what Woo basically apes. I'm a big fan of spaghetti westerns. I prefer them over regular westerns. I love their titles written in italian.

That's a shame. I enjoy his movies.
