What am I doing wrong that I can no longer post pictures or gifs here? They wont go through. I used to be able to.

Once in a while I run into pics, the links of which do not work for posting here. Can you not post any pics at all currently?

1. The link must point to an actual file, not a temporary location as you find when you do an image search. The file extension must be jpg, gif, png, and so on. 2. The link must be https in order for it to work with ProBoards. Http will work if the site with the image file accepts https requests. 3. The shorter the link text, the better. 4. Note that some sites will add a bunch of crap after the image id which controls size and whatnot. In most cases, you can just delete all that so that the file type in the last thing in the image address. 5. And just in case you're quick on pasting in your link info when using the ProBoards image tool, note that you may have have a spurious http:// at the end of the link.  |

GIFER is a site that always works here, A lot of others don’t seem to be compatible.

What happens when you try? Either nothing, or it puts up a little box with an X in it. Can you link to a post where that happened? If not, can you try one in this thread so I can see what's up?

It looks like for some reason the url you're trying to paste hasn't been copied, or you're accidentally hitting the backspace key just as you click on the insert image key.
Try switching to BBC view and typing in the img code manually.

There's nothing there. Can you paste the link to the image you tried to post? Like this, for example: storage.proboards.com/forum/images/bbcode/smiley.png
