My problem with DC costumes is that they seem to have a hard time making sleek, form fitting armor. Most of their armor always look bulky and heavy. Batman's suits for example. Aquaman's armor, even this shirt seems to look... well, too heavy to swim in?
Not that I want to compare but the MCU did a good job with Black Panther's armor and even the mail on Thor's arms look sleek and form fitting. I mean, sometimes bulky armor looks good, especially if the character warrants it. But considering Aquaman spends most of his time underwater, I was hoping he'd get sleeker armor. Then again, maybe this scaled shirt actually looks better in action. We'll see.
