It's not CW. That's a comic book plot. I know but it's all part of the same wokeness. No. Comics have been whoring themselves out forever. Anything to sell a book. Kill Superman. Everyone on the planet can lift Mjolnir Everyone else is Spiderman. Please buy one of our books.

Good, perhaps now the Superman comics will be a veritable hothouse of gay and lesbian sex. Hell, I might even start reading them again.

That’s like saying jumping the shark is the same thing. So you’re claiming they do this because wokeness sells?

Another reason why comic sales are taking a shit and Manga is gaining in popularity. The audience they are targeting with this woke crap doesn't exists. They should know this by now. Its rather bizarre. We now have companies choosing to self sabotage and destroy their business in the name of being woke. their activism and ideology takes priority.

What I want to know is, why is the original Superman Superman no more? Is he getting too old for this shit? He died during his sex change operation.

This really shouldn't be a big deal but I feel like a certain group of individuals will scream and cry over this.

How convenient that they announce this on National Coming Out Day, it's like they were expecting it to be much talked about regardless of whether or not people were for or against it. I predict some may buy this issue but won't really stick with it and they'll eventually have to relaunch the whole series.

If a main thing about a character or person is their race, gender or sexuality, they're a superficial character or person. Like the Kryptonian known as Super man? You realise the main thing about Superman isn't that he is a man, right?

Given that it is literally in his name AND that his relationship with Lois Lane was featured in MANY plots and subplots, I feel comfortable saying it is "a" main thing. 2. The other "main thing" about Superman is that he is Kryptonian, a en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/KryptonianI personally don't care how much a comic book focuses on gender, race, sexuality, etc. I'm just pointing out that following his own logic, "Old Sam Vimes" would apparently classify Superman as a superficial character.

There are two parts to his title and the name of the comic, one of them is “man”. Was he the “person of steel”? The “child” of Jor-El? An acquaintance and professional contact of Lois Lane? Or did the fact that he was a man feature heavily in his storylines for decades? And again, I don’t care that it did. I have no complaint basing characters in specific genders, races, relationships, etc. I am not the one that claimed it automatically made them a superficial character. Real people often define themselves with the same criteria. I do find it entertaining you have taken up a point even the person who originally made it has chosen not to defend.

He is called "Man of Steel" because he is a man. He would be "Woman of Steel" were he a woman. None of this has any relevance because its a descriptor You're simply being dim to advance a non point.

Do we really need to move topics from the politics board to the popular franchises board? Yes, this topic directly pertains to DC, but we already have a topic here about Jonathan Kent, and the politics board is such a clusterfuck that I’d prefer it be kept separate.

I didn’t even know Superman had a son until now. Was his mother human and if so does that affect any superpowers he might have? Does he believe he can fly?

Irrelevant nonsense that will be forgotten in a week. If they had actual courage, they would make the next on screen live action Superman gay and have him kiss a blue haired guy at the end of the movie. They wouldn't do it cos no studio executive would green light it because they know the movie will tank financially. With comic books its not much risk but with 300 million dollar international projects it is.
