I REALLY don't like Robert Pattinson in this, at least going by the trailer. Isn't Bruce Wayne supposed to look suave? Pattinson looks like an inmate from Arkham in the trailer

Pattinson looks like an inmate from Arkham in the trailer There have been different ideas, over the years, about what Public Persona Bruce Wayne is - compared to what Alfred sees, and what everyone meets in Batman. I mean, take Michael Keaton's take. He was sort of a bumbling billionaire. "Oh, and Alfred, get him a grant", so he acted like a socially awkward little nerd, who probably has always had people who run Wayne Industries for him. No one would have thought him capable of running Wayne Industries, let alone being some great detective and a powerful vigilante. Christian Bale's Bruce was suave, and basically a playboy billionaire and thrill seeker (to explain the bruises). Affleck's seems like he played the Public Persona as being kind of a rich dork who used his money to get women (as seen in his "I like your shoes", and even some of his attitude with Clark "The Daily Planet- do I own that one?"). I'm holding my judgment on this new take of how Bruce appears to the public, as I really liked Keaton's "awkward nerd Bruce" and Affleck's "dorky Bruce", and an angrier Bruce, whose childhood trauma festered like gang green in his soul, could be a really interesting take. I also like the grittier slant on the suit, and hiw junkyard DIY batmobile.

Looks like there's a lot of spin-offs in the works besides the Penguin series and that HBO Max show GOTHAM P.D.
TEXT:
In an interview with Esquire, the filmmaker first asserted his pride over the finished film, before revealing that there are many things currently in the works, teasing further spinoffs besides just the already announced Gotham P.D.
“I’m very proud of it,” Reeves said of The Batman. “I felt it was the best version of the story that we could possibly do to justify having another Batman. You always have to have a reason, and from the beginning that was the mission for me.” Now that The Batman is ready to go, with Matt Reeves seemingly very happy with what has been achieved, the director has started looking at where the franchise could go next. Standing separate from the rest of the DC Cinematic Universe, Reeves has plans in place to spawn his own Gotham-centric franchise. “It will obviously have a lot to do with how people receive this film,” the director said. “But a lot of things are in the works.”

That “screen X” gimmick is annoying AF. Saw Aquaman that way. Never again.

Would sort of make sense. Even Bale's Batman/Bruce didn't start off with the playboy thing, it took a good chunk of the movie to get him there and a little help from Alfred.
