It looks really good.
Still not convinced about Robert Pattinson.

New rumor about how Barry Keoghan will actually play the Joker. He's already been announced that he'll be playing a Gotham City police officer named Stanley Merkel.

The trailer gives off a superhero film noir vibe. Matt Reeves said a while back that he wanted his Batman film to be more of a detective story.

While speaking to Empire Magazine for their latest issue, producer Dylan Clark reaffirms that Reeves' film is indeed "standalone" in nature, but will also "lay a foundation that you can build stories upon.” "Warner Bros. has a multiverse where they're exploring different ways to use the character," he added. "We don't get involved in that. Matt is interested in pushing this character to his emotional depths and shaking him to his core."
Star Robert Pattinson also weighs in, admitting that he's "made a kind of map for where Bruce’s psychology would grow over two more movies. I would love to do it.”
A direct sequel may not have been officially greenlit yet, but we do know that Warner Bros. is planning more projects set in the same world, with Gotham PD and a solo Penguin show currently being developed for HBO Max.

I don't want that little spazzy twerp that plays the Flash, don't want Superman's boring ass in Reeves's Batman films, ditto on the rest of the other members of the Justice League (Aquabro, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern can have their own franchises. And just to be clear, I'm rooting for all of these DC projects to succeed and be entertaining af but I am so relieved and happy that Matt Reeves is sticking to his guns by doing a trilogy strictly focusing in on Batman. This is such great news! As I stated in another thread I view Matt Reeves as the anti JJ Abrams. Both of them are known for making reboots, remakes and sequels to big franchises but unlike JJ , Reeves actually cares about character development and understands story structure. Reeves actually adds substance to his big budget films (he knocked it out of the park with his Planet of the Apes sequels. I actually cared so much about cgi apes to the point of damn near tearing up at the ending of War for the Planet of the Apes haha)

Second full length trailer.
You posted this new trailer 3 hours ago and have had no responses about it?!!? Dude I wish I could like your post more than once because this new trailer was flat out amazing!!! I'm gaining even more confidence in Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman after seeing this new trailer(she was solid on HBO's Big Little Lies and I was impressed that she held her own against some Hollywood heavy hitters in Streep, Kidman, Dern and Witherspoon) Not to make this a Marvel vs DC pissing match but come on, The Batman looks waaaaaay more interesting and incredible than ANY of the formulaic/by the books/assembly line crap that Kevin Feige keeps shoveling out to the masses. Sorry not sorry The Batman looks utterly incredible

It looks really good. Still not convinced about Robert Pattinson. Don't base it on Twilight (not even Daniel Day Lewis and Martin Scorsese could have saved that horrible script haha) Pattinson is LEGIT and has been killing it on the indie scene as of late. He was fantastic in Good Time, Lost City of Z, The Rover, The Lighthouse, High Life, Damsel and was so suave/cool in Christopher Nolan's huge budget film TENET. I mean damn if Christopher fucking Nolan loves the guy then who am I to question Pattinson's acting ability ? haha According to various test screenings Pattinson crushes it. He does the whole brooding / damaged persona so well in previous films and has a strong jawline (Not to mention his Batman voice sounds superior to Bale's imo) I think we're in for a treat with Pattinson as Batman/Bruce Wayne. Can't wait for this!

From the WarnerMedia CEO: “.. "Think about when movies would show up on HBO, which is eight to nine months after theatrical premiere. The Batman is going to show up on day 46 on HBO Max. [...] That is a huge change from where things were in 2018, 2017, 2016."

There are plenty of actors that try to pull off the whole brooding act but completely fail and come across as so fake and not authenticate at all. Pattinson however does it with ease and overall the audience / critics have bought into his craft (his New York accent and performance in Good Time was spectacular imo) No clue wtf you're talking about me overselling Batman. All I did was pointing out that the trailers and build up for The Batman have been outstanding

Well it does look outstanding so I guess you got me there lol(I'm not in the minority here either). Also I can tell you haven't seen any of Pattinson's indie films (Good Time, The Lighthouse, High Life etc etc) Have you even seen TENET yet??? Pattinson is a legit good young talented actor (critics and audiences would agree too). No clue what you're talking about regarding Pattinson "looking confused". He's in his early years of being Batman and has deep unbridled/unhinged angry issues. Pattinson looks the part and according to various test screenings he nails it. I'm not gonna apologize for being entertained by the trailers so far and being hyped for this film. Sorry not sorry.
