Any other good ones? I made the other thread about WNUF Halloween Special, but obviously there are a bunch... other than Halloween and Halloween Kills of course.
I didn't much like Trick (2019). I liked Haunt (2019) much better but didn't love it. I know people like the Hell House LLC movies more than I do. Same goes for the Houses October Built movies. Terrifier (2016) isn't bad, but goes extreme to the point of silliness to me, but I could watch it again.
For some other very low budget ones, I know I saw The Barn (2016) but I don't remember much about it. There's a new one this year from Dread Central called Bad Candy that tried to be the sort of spiritual successor to Trick r Treat, but it sucks. I also watched one called Black Pumpkin from 2020 that I though would be absolutely horrible, but was much more professionally alloted and directed than I expected even though it's still nothing special, while Halloween Party, also from 2020, was every bit as cheap and amateurish as I was expecting the other one to be.
I know I've seen more, but most of them have been so cheap and bad that they end up becoming completely forgettable.

Boys in the Trees (2016) Hell Fest (2018) The Prodigy (2019) Haunt (2019) I mentioned Haunt, but actually it turns out I've seen all of these. Boys in the Trees was fine but not very memorable. It wanted to be an affecting drama, but the dramatic twist didn't really land. The Prodigy I didn't care for. Hell Fest was pretty decent, throwaway fun, but I actually think I liked the very-similar-quite-differetn Blood Fest better. That one isn't set on Halloween though, I don't think.

I liked Trick. I guess a good recent one would be Followed. I found another one called Trick or Treat about an I think British guy, born on Halloween, used to work for gangsters, used to kill people, now he's married with a kid and depressed and his brother pops up on Halloween night and announces he's killed the son of the gang boss. Not really a horror movie, definitely inspired by The Game with Michael Douglas but something definitely went wrong with the execution.

Tales of Halloween Trick 'r Treat (2009) Satan's little Helper Night of the Demons (2009) The Pumpkin Karver SideFX Hellbent Tales of Halloween is an obvious one I forgot to mention. I remembered it being just ok, but it's filled with fun halloween imagery, so it's cool for that reason. Trick r Treat is a legit classic at this point, but I'm just as much into Satan's Little Helper, as you mentioned. That movie has such a unique and odd tone. It'd not for everyone, but I think it's a lot of fun. Didn't much care for the Night of the Demons remake. The Pumpkin Karver, I've heard of, but never seen. It looks like a cheap and amateur production, but that's never stopped before. Thanks for the reminder. Hellbent is mediocre. SideFX I'm not even familiar with. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, that's the one, I was surprised, new horror movies don't tend to faze me, but watching that one at 2 in the morning in a semi-dark room turned out to not be such a good idea, so even though it has its problems it also gets high praise from me.

Oh I forgot all about "The Barn"... It's getting a sequel.
I think "House of the Devil" takes place on or near Halloween?

Bumping this topic for reference...
There's a crappy movie I watched last year called Candy Corn that's halloweenish.
Two different movies called Boo, one from 2005, and one from 2018 with an exclamation point in the title are both set on Halloween. Haven't watched either of them yet.
Some TV movie called Grave Halloween from 2013.
Watched The Terror of All Hallow's Eve last year; makeup artist Todd Tucker's only real film as a director. He's highly accomplished in FX makeup, so that element is pretty solid, but it's a fairly dull affair otherwise.
Hellions from 2015 is.. something.
The Hollow from 2004, which is hardly recent at this point, is a crappy Halloween-set movie set in 'Sleepy Hollow' and made by people who never cared to read the story, look at the real place, or secure a budget to make this look like it was made by professionals. It's interesting because it plays on family friendly TV sometimes, but there was on explicit scene of sex and violence when I saw it, that was clearly meant to be easily lifted out so that they could sell am exploitation version and a family friendly version. Kinda dumb fun to watch though, if only to see a number of familiar faces embarrassing themselves by being in this thing.
I thought the found footage movie Home Movie (2008) was uncommonly effective and unnerving, but I don't think many people have seen it, and I'm not sure that many of those who have felt the same.
Murder Party from 2007 is a good time. Jeremy Saulnier went on to make bigger and better stuff, but this one remains a fun one, and a standout amongst his generally downbeat and depressing other work.
The Scarehouse from 2014 is a movie I have rated. I remember very little about it other than that I kind thought it sucked.
Tormented (aka Berkshire County) from 2014 is a fairly forgettable 'pig headed horror' movie that I've confused in my head with Torment from 2013. Similar movies, neither especially good, but the first one I mentioned is set on Halloween.
And as a correction from last year: Black Pumpkin was the shitty one that I didn't like, and Halloween Party was the one I thought made more of its budget.

It's 15 years old at this point, but have you seen Murder Party? From the Blue Ruin/ Green Room guy. I like it a lot. They actually homaged one of the costumes in Scream 6.

Yes, but I haven't seen it in a long time. I liked it though. I saw it before Jeremy Saulnier sorta blew up, and was surprised that the Murder Party guy made Blue Ruin when I saw that movie. The tone of his work really changed dramatically... both in that it's a major difference and it became more skewed towards stark drama. It'd be cool if he made something fun like that again.
