No more movies. Not soon, at least.
Just find the biggest budget for a series ever committed in history. Make a very long TV series, well directed, even superior to "Watchmen". The X-Men cannot be "properly" portrayed on movies, they are not simple and linear characters like the Avengers, they need a series to be fleshed out. Their stories are complex and sophisticated, almost feeling as soap opera stories.
Start from the sixties and the seventies. Give us the Original 5 and then the team which everyone loves: Cyclops, Colossus, Wolverine, Phoenix, Nightcrawler, Storm, Banshee.
Give us origin stories.
Give us sagas.
The X-Men are not the Avengers. They are not toys or action figures.
