My favorite Ranger - Inky
I got this card from my Uncle - hoping it's worth something some day since it's a Diamond King - Diamond Kings were reserved for the Best of the Best folks

Never realized how much it resembled Oakland's.

Seems odd that a Glasgow team in a Scottish Competition would play home games in Texas. Interesting find there nuts.

That park had all the personality of a damp washcloth. One of five Minor League parks that became Major League parks
Memorial Stadium - Baltimore Municipal Stadium - Kansas City Metropolitan Stadium - Bloomington, MN Sick's Stadium - Seattle
Milwaukee County Stadium (so many "M's") was built for the minor league Milwaukee Brewers but the Braves stole it from them.

I went to many games at Sick's stadium as a kid. Saw a few Pilits games, some minor league games and whole lot of fast pitch softball games as my grandpa was friends with several players on the national champion Pay'n Pack/Peterbilt team.

A lot of Ball Four took place in the unappetizingly named Sick's Stadium (I know beer bigwig Emil Sick. I guess Vomit Coliseum was taken).
Ever read this one, TC
It was good but it's been years since I've read it. I think it mostly covered the Rainiers of the 40's and 50's so I'm not sure if it got close to the expansion of 1969. Always like reading about the PCL. They wanted to make it the 3rd major league and got laughed out of the room. How silly to imagine two big league team in LA, one in SF, one in San Diego, Oakland, Seattle. six out the classic PCL cities got major league franchises and Portland could have. Sacramento being the oddball

Incredible.....ESPECIALLY the AMAZING thought that went into (and space allotted to), of all things, the parking areas !! So often they build these "cathedrals" to sports, and don't seem to put as much thought into where all the fans are going to be able to leave their vehicles (ESPECIALLY in the case of the arenas/stadiums built in the middle of major urban cities!) ...... however as good as it was, anybody know if this park experienced some very bad delays when all the fans tried to get out of here around the same time? Based on the very limited entry/exit access points I can see in this one shot (though never having been there, can't say for sure) it seems like that might have been the case.... SAVE FERRIS
