Trying to compete with Halloween there.
Crazily enough, the Bayverse might be the best of those.

I like Universe 1 the best. Though doesn't Leatherface: TCM III technically ignore TCM 2?

Yes, that's my doubt too! I heard it is a continuation of the original, so I guess it makes another continuity. Yes, but it's also a kind of "re-imagining", so it follows an alternate version of the first movie. I revised my original post, 6 universes! LOL.

Forgot this:
Vanita 'Stretch' Brock (the lead character of Part 2, played by Caroline Williams) appeared on Part 3, but in a different role/job: reporter. Also, she didn't seem traumatized or touched for the past events of Part 2. Further proof that Part 3 is an alternate universe.

I had no idea the this The Butcher Boys movie existed. Is it not officialy part of the series? Is it as bad as most of the movies that are?

I had no idea the this The Butcher Boys movie existed. Is it not officialy part of the series? It's a standalone project of the TCM:TNG director. It's a "spiritual sequel" set in the same world of "his" version of the Saywer family. MOST of the TCM movies are great, and superior to many Friday The 13th movies.
