Tom Hanks is Finch, a man who lives in a world devastated by a solar flare some years ago. His only companionship is his dog and a little robot. Finch builds an anthropomorphic, intelligent robot to care for his dog in the event that he dies. Together, the group heads west to escape devasting storms.
I didn't have high hopes for the film after getting burned with Hanks's last direct-to-streaming outing, Greyhound, but I was pleasantly surprised. Not a great film, but a good one.
