Hmmm...But according to CrepedCrusader everything is going swell with Lucasfilm under Kathleen Kennedy's management.

A third movie has already been confirmed. And she’s returning as the director.

I remember reading that Patty Jenkins was working on Rogue Squadron, Wonder Woman 3, and Cleopatra, and thinking, "something's gonna have to get bumped". Guess now we know what got bumped. Bummer. This was my most highly-anticipated upcoming SW project.

Strike 5 for Kennedy , give her the exit I've long been a fan of Kennedy, but these setbacks do keep happening. The only excuse I've seen that lets Kennedy off the hook is that the pandemic pushed the production of Cleopatra back, and that's why Rogue Squadron bad to get pushed. If that's the case, then we're talking act of god stuff. If it turns out the real reason is "creative differences", then there's a problem because all of that should have been hammered out before a big announcement.

Looks like your goose cannot produce very many golden eggs and if all you can muster as a defense is "The Rise of Skywalker made a billion dollars!"(Even though are admit in other circles of conversation that money doesn't equate to quality, and do not take into consideration that it made profit very, very slowly and was still seen as a disappointment by investors) then I'd suggest to abandon the sinking ship.

So you admit Kennedy isn't very competent. This is gold.

For what it’s worth, Lucasfilm supposedly still has a Star Wars film planned for 2023. It’s just not going to be the Rogue Squadron movie. Still, Lucasfilm should probably hold off on announcing things so haphazardly.

So many risks taken!

The rumors state that it’s supposed to be a Knights of Old Republic film. That could breathe some new life into the franchise depending who they get to helm it and the story direction.
