A little while ago, I entered the title Two Sisters from Boston, on the "Baker's Dozen," trivia board. It was a June Allison/Katherine Grayson film, about a girl's family, in Boston, thinking she's in New York, a successful opera singer, when she's really performing in a "dive," under a sexy assumed name. When her sister decides to go to NYC to see her, she has a problem.
Now, I think that I've seen that story line, in an updated re-make. But, I can't come up with the title, or the actors in it. It was, probably, within the last 20 years.
Am I nuts?

Ah, thank you. I guess the answer to my question is "yes." I did look on the "trivia" portion of the "Two Sisters...," IMDb page, to see if that might be included. But, I didn't think to cross-reference the author. I appreciate your info.

Ah, thank you. I guess the answer to my question is "yes." Not necessarily. We all have movies / tv shows etc that we swear we saw but there is no evidence of their ever existing. Several of the questions in this very thread can attest to that. The notorious missing Columbo episode is a prime example. Everyone remembers the incident BUT it apparently appears in no Columbo. Nor can it be found in any other TV series. Your movie memory may turn up yet so tell your tailor to cancel the straight jacket, (for now)

Actually, being "nuts" has its up-side. They're a little afraid of you, so you get away with a lot.

Many of the Classics regulars rarely wander this far afield and ... if they don't know .. no one will.

Actually, being "nuts" has its up-side. They're a little afraid of you, so you get away with a lot. You've reminded me of something. 40-odd years ago, I lived a block south of Hollywood Blvd, and would often walk late in the evening a few blocks to the all-night newsstand on Cahuenga (y'know: pre-internet days when you had to hold something printed on paper if you wanted to read). Those were the hours when the boulevard was at its most colorful. Less crowded, but also when the crazies came out. Whenever one came toward me with "that look" in their eyes, I'd widen mine, set my jaw and glare right at them with an I'm-crazier-than-you-so-don't-fuck-with-me look. Worked 90% of the time, and on the few occasions one did try to engage me, I'd unleash a bombastic torrent of gibberish as I barreled past them. And that would be the end of that. Ah, the quaint old days of yore.
