The actor who played Admiral Ackbar recently spoke out in an interview with WhoCares Magazine on their Hashtag TwitFace podcast.
Samuel J Squidington, best known for his role as Admiral Ackbar in Return of the Jedi as well as a long critically acclaimed career on Broadway, had this to say…
”I despise superhero movies. They suck and everyone who enjoys them are ignorant fuck heads who should eat shit and die.”

He got rave reviews for playing the role reversed merman in the recent stage version of SPLASH but was panned for his portrayal of Nemo in "Finding Nemo" because he is considered past his sell by date for playing such a small fry.

He got rave reviews for playing the role reversed merman in the recent stage version of SPLASH but was panned for his portrayal of Nemo in "Finding Nemo" because he is considered past his sell by date for playing such a small fry. He also co-starred in an all squid production of Cats. But a real cat slipped in and, tragically, half of the original cast was consumed by him.

That story brings tears to my eyes I confess, they are tears of laughter from picturing squid in Cats costumes and makeup and the silliness of this thread !

Oh yes, Squids, by that fine, fine musical-theater composer Lloyd Webber-Andrews. But actually that was written years before Cats, if I’m not mistaken, and then rudely and poorly plagiarized by Puccini superfan Andrew Lloyd Webber. A marvelous production, a marvelous production! When Samuel J. Squidington, a cousin of that well-known clarinetist Squidward Tennisballs, stepped out of a swimming pool and sang… I cried, man. I just cried. Beautiful, man. Beautiful.
