They lived (often alone) in beautiful apartments, drove snazzy cars, dressed very stylishly, and had their hair professionally done. Not bad for $7/wk office flunkies, no??

Private Secretary (1953-57)"Susie (Ann Sothern) is secretary to handsome talent agent Peter Sands (Don Porter) and keeps getting messed up in (and messing up) his private life. She's assisted (usually) by receptionist Vi and semi-rival Sylvia. Cagey is Peter's business rival. The show alternated Sunday nights with "The Jack Benny Show." Most available images only show her at the office but they must show her apartment at least once. This from season 4: Susie has a South American actress (Anita Ekberg) known as "the hubby killer as a house guest"
