...if both Anthony Hopkins and Jody Foster returned? Hell they could even bring back Barney I suppose, he's been in every one.

Possibly. Still need to watch Hannibal (2001) as it is.

Nah. Hopkins is too old for it anyway.

No, I would want a continuation of the 2013-2015 series with Mads Mikkelsen.

Possibly. Still need to watch Hannibal (2001) as it is. Hannibal is the most divisive of the Anthony Hopkins trilogy and understandably so. It is one of my favorite movies of 2001. It is well-worth watching imo. It is the most bizarre movie in the franchise and is gloriously OTT. Feeding people to giant pigs, eating people's brains and a crippled monstrously disfigured pedophile as the villain. The scene that shows how Gary Oldman's character became so disfigured is delightfully perverse, using The Blue Danube (the music used most famously in 2001: A Space Odyssey) in the background. Just from a technical standpoint it is worth watching. Beautiful scenery during the Italy scenes, haunting atmosphere, a creepy and strangely beautiful score from Hans Zimmer, Gary Oldman hamming it up in the best way possible and the movie also has a very dark sense of humor. Anthony Hopkins is still great as Lecter and we get to see him when he is trying top blend into society. That was something we don't get in The Silence of the Lambs and we only get a glimpse of during the opening scene of Red Dragon. If you want a movie to take seriously, this probably isn't the movie for you. It is a thrilling and creepy movie all the way through though and is the most horror-esque of the trilogy. I would go as far as to call the movie grotesque, but in a very entertaining way. It also depends on how much of a fan of Ridley Scott you are and if you are able to accept Julianne Moore as Clarice. There is no mistaking that this is a Ridley Scott movie. This is one of my favorite parts of the score and also includes one of the most memorable scenes of dialogue in the movie, in which Lecter is insulting the Italian police inspector that is on his trail. Talking about Dante's Inferno, Judas and the hanging of the inspectors ancestor and implying that his ancestor is in Hell and comparing the inspector to Judas. Opening scene of the movie.

I wouldn't watch it unless someone paid me thirty dollars an hour to do so. I'd like to un watch the two I did see. Lambs and Dragon are two pathetic formula movies no different than the billions of other movies that glorify hate by making gods out of demons.
The Hannibal movies suck as much as fava beans and chianti and liver.

No and Jodie Foster isn't the box office pull you think she is. The woman can hardly talk properly.
