And far more accessible than recently Jackie which felt a tad more polarizing, and I'm all for Stewart running away with Best Actress, it's haunting score, and we'll crafted and very unnerving intrepid cinematography.

I really was disappointed with Jackie. I loved the trailer and thought Portman looked great. After seeing it, yeah she's fine I suppose but the movie just left me cold.

I like the movie, but I think Jackie is a much more interesting and much more emotional experience. I think Natalie Portman is far more compelling in Jackie than Kristen Stewart is in Spencer.
Spencer is probably Kristen Stewart's best performance, but I'm not sure I would support a nomination. I wouldn't be upset if she was nominated either though. I place her in my Top 10 favorite lead actress performances of 2021 at the moment.
The best things about the movie are the cinematography and the score (both runner-up after Dune), but I do think it is effective at showing the isolation of the character from the royalty around her and her feeling more like a puppet than a person. She is sort of trapped in a prison and at the end has a level of escape from that prison, though we know it won't last. Diana's death lingers over the entire movie, making it all the more emotional and haunting.
I simply didn't get enough from the movie and it left me wanting something more than it is, but I can certainly understand thinking Spencer is a great movie. I think it just depends on how much you connect to it and care about the subject matter.
Spencer - 7/10
Jackie - 8.5/10

Kristen Stewart looking confused and lost but with a British accent this time isn't much of a pull.

I forgot I was watching Kristen Stewart at times, which is just about the nicest thing you can say about someone who was (in theory) distractingly miscast. Timothy Spall is also really good.
Other than that? It lived up to my low expectations. Diana wore nice clothes. She didn't get along with the other royals. She had #relatable problems that makes working class plebs like the film's waitstaff forget that she was never one of them. It's all pretty perfunctory and tedious.
I also found it a little amusing that the big "climax" revolves around her standing in the way of her kids birdshooting. As if the other royals would just bark "Fire!" and have the princess blown away right there. The movie has nothing to talk about, so why not manufacture a little drama? Diana apparently had The Sixth Sense as well

I'm so old I remember the good old days back when Spenser was finally for hire.
My main man, always, Mr. Robert Urich (RIP).

Need a man hired? He always seemed to have it covered. Professional, brilliant.
