I didn’t want to put up a poll but have a discussion.
I am only in Hawkeye’s first episode but I saw WV and F&TWS and I think that Disney has squandered Marvel’s potential.
We all talk about what Disney have done to Star Wars, but what about Marvel, in particular these TV shows?
I just can’t help but think that considering the characters and stories at their disposal, they are simply churning out mediocre material.

I really liked the Netflix shows. They got a little more flawed as they ran out of gas, but I liked the grittier, uglier world. They almost all had the same issue of languishing mid-season with filler episodes. If they could have been as short as the Disney + shows, it would have helped. Nonetheless, I liked them all to varying degrees. Wilson Fisk in Daredevil was a great character. Matt Murdoch was appropriately self-righteous and not always right or sympathetic. Jessica Jones was great, or at least the first season was. Luke Cage had some great side characters. I didn't like Iron Fist, though admittedly he and his show got a little better in the second season. The second season of Iron Fist was better, though I didn't like what they did with Colleen. I just didn't understand her logic that to train Danny Rand back to health, she had to give up their relationship.
I thought Punisher was badass too. The camera loves the back of Jon Bernthal's head. Ben what's his face was a good villain and I liked Agent Madani a lot. It's a shame she doesn't turn up in the regular rankings of top female MCU characters. Even the top female MCU Netflix characters, she never seems to make the list. Why? There's barely 10 characters to fill the list. Speaking of which, I also liked Trish from Jessica Jones. She's a good actor, and beautiful. She should be in more things.
The Disney + shows are all fine. I don't need to watch WandaVision or Falcon and the Winter Soldier too many times to know the gist. They were both good the first time. WV was a slower burn. I thought it made great points about trauma, loss, escapism, et cetera. FATWS was good too. I didn't think it was as smartly conceived as WV, though it does have more entertainment value with the action. I liked Karli Morgenthau quite a bit.
Loki is the crown jewel so far of Disney + MCU so far (if you haven't seen What If, which I haven't). By now, it's not difficult to suss out the formulas. It's only a matter of time before the Time Enforcement Agency is exposed as corrupt. It's practically a given. How is the question. I like its castle at the end of time imagery. Clown/trickster Gods are a thing in Norse mythology. I think it's to laugh at the futility of permanence by having a clown show up at the end of the universe. It's kind of a far out there interpretation, but who's there at multiple Armageddons? Loki. Various Loki's. I think that's a real nod to Norse mythology sneaked into the show.
I loved the first season of Agent Carter. Haven't gotten to the second one. Haven't seen a single episode of Agents of SHIELD or What If. I think that's it. Oh and I saw a few episodes of that M.O.D.O.K. show. It was suspiciously hilarious.
Whoopsie, I meant Time Variance Authority.

WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier are just there for retconns and there was so much more to be done with both shows. Loki is the best show thus far since it actually expands the universe. I haven't seen Hawkeye yet and I'm not sure if I will.
What If? was alright, but once it became about forming a super team that protects the multiverse it got really stupid. I'd rather have fun What If scenarios than a show that tries to tie all of these things together.

All of the Disney+ shows so far have been a huge success.

No question. They've all been received extremely well critically, they're all achieving what Disney wants them to. They greenlit Captain America 4 on the strength of TFATWS so they're obviously pleased with how that turned out. Loki is getting a second season. Wandavision was a grand slam critically, though I don't see how a second season of that can be done, but Wanda will factor heavily into Doctor Strange 2, and maybe more beyond that. A second season of What If...? is in development, as well as a zombie spin-off. I'd say they've been a huge success.

How could I forget that one. Hahn was amazing and that song is catchy as fuck

I’m an MCU fan and I have hated all of them. I was okay with some of the movies being forgettable and cookie cutter, but now there are five shows like that a year? The franchise is being way overexposed at this point and despite the positive reviews I guarantee you this is costing them fans.

The franchise is being way overexposed at this point and despite the positive reviews I guarantee you this is costing them fans. It's definitely been a while since they've seemed like the underdog. I just realized that this year along saw Black Widow, Shang Chi, Eternals, and Spiderman. Then on Disney, there's, well, literally all of them. I keep thinking it's a slow and drab year, but when you line them all up, it's been a really busy year!
Even though I'll get around to watching the rest eventually, the MCU right now is something like Star Wars for me. I don't really need it during the year unless it's an emergency, like something I really wanna see. I'd rather fire it up during the holidays than watch it year round to avoid overkill.
