Well that was...just okay. After all that not only do we not get to know Jack's name, but we get a bit of a downer ending. I thought there was a bit more to be done with it and I wish they would have explored what the future looks like now without Aku in it and if Jack is still immortal.
Anyone else catch it? What did you think?

I liked it but it seems that it should have been an hour long episode. As you said, a glimpse of the future would have been nice. I prepared myself for a sad ending for their relationship and actually expected something like that to happen last episode. I'm surprised that I am okay with it since I generally dislike that type of scenario.

I enjoyed the final season and despite being bittersweet, I felt the finale wrapped things up well. After the decidedly more adult tone the last season took, I was afraid Jack would not be allowed an entirely happy ending. I was also a bit disappointed we didn't get a call back to the tiny gangsters (gangsters for money?) since Mr Pibbles was such an awesome name. For the most part we did get to see a lot of favorites although I didn't the rave kids were so popular.
The move to Adult Swim was a great idea since it was nice and violent and actually raised the possibility that Jack might not make it out alive even if he did defeat Aku. Considering I thought we would never get closure on Jack's fate and discovered it was returning on this site, I'm giving it a 9/10.

As politicidal said, this episode deserved more than 23 episode. It's sad, but I loved it!

I think episode 9 should've been about the fight and episode 10 about the return. We don't even see JACK reuniting with his parents. It just skips to the wedding. After defeating AKU, the idea that ASHI shouldn't exist anymore crossed my mind. She did disappear... a few days later. Shouldn't that have happened immediately? Speaking of, JACK isn't shown reflecting on the idea that all the friends he made also don't exist anymore. All of these issues removed the emotional impact for me.
