I’d never heard of this case until today, when I watched the Unsolved Mysteries episode on it. This summary of the case (or at least of the episode) is decent, but suffice it to say Patrice Endres was a 38-year-old hairdresser from Georgia who disappeared in 2004. Her remains were found in December 2005. As that article notes, most of Reddit suspects Endres’s husband Rob of committing the crime. And, to be sure, Rob Endres acts extremely suspiciously in the episode. This Reddit post makes a lot of the same points I thought. As someone wrote in the comment section there, Endres goes so far as to articulate how someone could have brought his wife into the woods without leaving any tracks. But pointing the finger of suspicion is so easy, and it’s especially easy for a viewer of an edited, meant-for-entertainment TV show to do. Also, of course, weird does not a murderer make. So I’m not quite sure what to think of the case. Has anyone else here seen the episode? Do you have thoughts on the case?
