I wish IMDB spoiler-tagged the " number of episodes" an actor/actress appears in their descriptions of the shows, because often it spoils something for me. Like I start to watch a new show and I want to see the name of that one particular actor or see who wrote it so I go to imdb and bang, I see the actor is only there for 1-2 episodes so I know he is about to die/disappear right then. It does affect me, knowing how long the role will last. Anybody else struggles with this and wishes IMDB hid it to be reveled upon one more click only?TBH, I know I am very particular about spoilers, very sensitive about it, I feel like even trailers spoil too much these days and I prefer going into a movie or a show not knowing more than a poster, title and maybe a log line. The other day my friend inadvertently spoiled House of Gucci for me, she couldnt even imagine one doesnt know what happened to the Gucci family in real life and it really took away a lot from my viewing experience I think. Oh well.

That actually happened to me with Sean Bean and Game of Thrones, which is probably the biggest spoiler it could possibly happen with. Since then, I avoid the overview page for shows. If I want to know an actor or something, I go directly to that episode's page since all the info is isolated.

Yeah I should start doing the same but its not alwaya something relates to just a particular episode for me... so what I do now instead is try and go to Wikipedia. Its less user friendly but easier to control what I want to/ dont want to see.

The best spoiler reveal I saw was 24 Season 2 DVD box... the first line of the rear box synopsis. A friend of mine who at the time was into S1, picked it up & threw it down in disgust.

The best spoiler reveal I saw was 24 Season 2 DVD box... the first line of the rear box synopsis. A friend of mine who at the time was into S1, picked it up & threw it down in disgust. My favorite spoiler reveal was for The Venture Bros. Season 3. With the exception of the final season, I watched every episode for the first time on DVD. Normally when I watch a show with DVD commentary, I listen to the commentary as I go along. But I learned early on that the creators of the The Venture Bros. did not shy away from spoilers in their commentary. So I would hold off on listening to any commentary until after I had watched the entire season. So after I finished watching all the episodes, I listened to the commentary for Season 3, Episode 1 of The Venture Bros. I laughed because the commentary contained a huge spoiler regarding the fate of one of the characters. Show co-creator Doc Hammer casually stated "24 dies this year. Has his head blown clean off." What made it even funnier is that Doc proceeded to drop that spoiler into the commentary for every subsequent episode, and if he forgot, co-creator Christopher McCulloch would remind him to do so. Doc defended his actions by saying something like, "If you haven't watched the entire season, you shouldn't be listening to the commentary."

I've noticed a lot of shows do not have an actors name on the beginning credits when there's a mystery reveal.

For example, I watch all the episodes on Disc 1, then go back and watch the ones with commentary again, before moving on to Disc 2. Usually the commentary is pretty much limited to the episode at hand, and I can't recall any problems when doing this for other shows. But the commentary for The Venture Bros. is something else entirely. I've never seen a creator go out of his way to spoil the season finale in the commentary for the season premiere.
