That little girl robot dance is still one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. BUT it made me laugh out loud in the theater by myself* during Dawn of the Dead 3-D. So, you know. I'm totally seeing this when it hits streaming some drunken Friday night. *I mean, there were other people there. But I went alone. Which made my sudden outburst all the more bizarre for all involved. |

During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jason Blum answered whether or not M3gan sequel talks are happening. "Well, my answer to that is I am very superstitious, and I don't like to talk about sequels before the first film is even out," Blum told the trade. "But like any of the movies I make, I always think of a bigger world. I don't just think of that one story; I think of the bigger world. So if we're fortunate enough to tell any other stories, we can pull from the bigger world."

I think for me at least it's that I don't care for killer robot sci fi action movies, eg Terminator... But M3gan has more a look and feel of a creepy possessed doll, which I like. |

I'm open to either one, but this just looks so stupid. I could see this being appealing as a horror comedy that looks this dumb on purpose but I'm genuinely surprised that people seem to be saying this looks good while taking it seriously. The dancing robot girl is one of the silliest and goofiest and dumbest things I've ever seen. |

5.7 on IMDB, ages 18-29, which are usually the easiest to please. 6.2 overall.

Went and saw this today and I really liked it. It helps knowing eventually the doll will go crazy because theres all these moments early on which make you laugh out loud because you know how things are eventually going to go. Theres several cool themes of parenting and technology but at its heart its just a pretty fun thriller. Violet McGraw and Allison Williams are both pretty great here...edge to McGraw because theres a range of emotions on display for her character. M3AGAN is the star you'll be rooting for though.

For what it’s worth…the lack of gore isn’t noticeable because it’s more of a thriller than a slasher. It didn’t affect my enjoyment at the time but I would be very interested if they have an uncut version that features more of the bloodshed. One kill in particular, if they filmed it. |
