Gotta admit.
It's made be pay attention to baseball again since the Phils suck hard and our 'heralded' farm and young guns may be mirage.
Kid's 25 though.
Yanks/BBall fans.
Late bloomer?
Think he's the real deal.
Been looking like a beast - and I hate the Yanks like 50% of baseball fans - but would be nice for somebody to root against again though who's at the top of their game on the Evil Empire ala AROD.

Thumpers will always do well in that glorified minor league sized park. All things considered though, he has been absolutely terrorizing the ball.

I was kind of joking about Hensley Meulins. Judge reminds me of one player, Dave Kingman. His average is exponentially better than Kong's right now. But I can see him being exclusively a long ball hitter. Hitters with linebackers bodies usually do. Frank Howard, Steve Bilko. Frank Thomas being the exception.

not a late bloomer really, older players on the yankees with big contractys were blocking hs path.; in the OF, beltran and ellsbury. and we needed garder to stay in rght, so judge really had no place to go till we made trades last year

Struck out a ton last year 42 times in 84 ab, 1 every 2. This year 44 in 136, 1 every 3.1. Getting a lot of walks this year. He's smoking some line drives.

I could see him matching stats with someone like a Ryan Howard.
His body type may not hold up for extensive MLB seasons for as long as smaller more athletic ppl yes? 350 HRs give or take, the best power guy in the league for a fair stretch, etc.
At least he's the future Yankees DH beyond 2020. They won't need to find some relic on the free agent list to fill that role.

I don't think size has anything to do with it (and some minor league parks are pitchers' parks). It's the wind patterns. It's 9 miles and change from Yankee Stadium to Citi Field though, so I don't see how wind can be that much of a factor when CF is considered a pitcher's park. Judge is the real deal. He may not be the .320 hitter he's been so far this year, and pitchers will make adjustments the more they see him, but he's displayed great poise and determination after the questions lingering from last year. I also think the baby Yankees will benefit greatly from shielding each other in the lineup. If it's Sanchez batting 3rd and Judge 4th, or the other way around, pitchers are going to have a much more difficult time handling them both. If Castro has turned a corner a la Daniel Murphy, and Didi is as good as he was last year, the future for the Yanks' offense looks bright.

It's 9 miles and change from Yankee Stadium to Citi Field though, so I don't see how wind can be that much of a factor when CF is considered a pitcher's park. Whether they are 9 miles apart, 900 miles apart, or literally right next door to each other is meaningless. Right field to Yankee Stadium is like a jet stream, with balls sailing out to right field regularly. Balls that would be harmless flyouts to right are home runs there because of the way the wind flows through the building. If a hitter can take advantage of that (like Johnny Damon did), then good for them. Arod used to talk about deliberately just trying to poke outside pitches into the air because if you get it high enough, there's a strong chance it will carry into the seats. When Citi Field captures the wind, it's typically blowing in from left field, causing crushed balls to die on the track at times. The dimensions are also bigger, with slightly higher walls in spots.
