My Week:
Jason Bourne(2016)FTV 7/10 Not as good as first 3, better than the 4th.
Rogue(2007)FTV 6/10 Giant Croc stalks tourists. Relies more on suspence than special effects.
The Giant Claw(1957)RV 3/10 Probably the ugliest 50s giant monster.
Them(1954)RV 8/10 When attacked by a giant ant, shoot the antennae!
I Drink Your Blood(1970)FTV 3/10 Doesn't get much more grindhouse than this.

I wasn't aware Melvin and Howard was a horror. I haven't seen though. The Fog-80', nice little atmospheric John Carpenter supernatural thriller. The Fog-05', absolutely abysmal. One of the worst millennial reboots I have seen. The Burning-81' not bad early 80's campsite slasher with some effective horror scenes and plenty of blood. Not that suspenseful or exciting either. Christine-83', well filmed John Carpenter adaptation of Stephen King's spooky car possessed tale. Well acted and directed, with a another excellent score by Carpenter and Alan Howarth Dead & Buried-81', which after viewing again in over 10yrs has made me hold it in higher reverence.
The Fog '80 is one of my top Carpenter films. I try to watch it every April 21st.
The Burning, Christine, and Dead & Buried are all solid. A good week, for the most part.

Asylum (1972) - 8/10 ~ Another great Amicus horror anthology. No one does it (or, rather, did it) like the Brits did back in the day.
Opera (1987) - 9/10 ~ Splendid whodunit from Argento. I'm convinced it's all 'style over substance' with Dario's films but that's not necessarily a bad thing esp. when it's as deftly executed as this film.
Igor and the Lunatics (1985) - 7/10 ~ This film gets a bad rap for all the obvious reasons: low budget, bad acting, asinine plot, etc. but fans of other 'classic' Troma films such as Surf Nazis Must Die, Combat Shock and Troma's War will probably enjoy this sleazy offering about a Manson-style cult from the sixties surviving into the present day (actually, the eighties) to kill and maim and terrorize former cultists. I can't help but enjoy this trash.
Sabotage (1936) - 6/10 ~ Early Hitchcock thriller about a plot to bomb London. A couple of memorable scenes but overall I felt like it was lacking something. Maybe seeing a better print of the film would change my opinion of it.
Dogman (2012) - 7/10 ~ Low budget mystery thriller about one family's encounter with an elusive cryptid somewhere in the rural Midwest. The small cast does a good job and the less that's seen of the creature the better in this case (the director made a wise choice with that). Well worth seeing if you're into cryptozoology; otherwise, you might not dig this film as it's not a 'traditional' werewolf film.

Amicus were masters of the horror anthology, and "Asylum" is one of their best.
