What’s he doing becoming a criminal kingpin? And going about without his helmet on like a slut.

I'm curious as to how often he'll have his helmet off. Think it's to differentiate between this show and Mandalorian? I thought this episode suffered from terrible direction, the action was garbage. Overall I still found the story entertaining, even if that fight where they were surrounded made Boba look like an idiot. "Surrounded by energy shields? Let's try blasting our way out of here!"
They've done a great job with Mando and now this show capturing the whole 'Western in space' vibe they're going for. It isn't mind blowing stuff, but it's fun to watch and doesn't shit on Star Wars fans the way the sequels did.

The scene where Boba is receiving tributes, for example. It’s a good idea, but the throne room was sterile, with none of the sleaze and crowds of intergalactic sleazeballs hanging around. I can accept that Boba is different to Jabba in that he wouldn’t want his palace to be party central. But then the Twilek messenger of the mayor made it feel like an episode of Star Trek. His American accent felt very cheap. He could have at least had an alien type accent or better yet, use of subtitles and an alien language.

He was like a guy in twilek cosplay giving the manager of a Burger King a hard time. Very strange scene.
