The adults were extremely foolish to her get that close. I don't know much about sea lions, but I'm sure there are other types of animals that could have taken her farther away, possibly even injured/drowned her.

Obviously the sea lion had consumed too may of those starbuck beverages. That kid is seriously traumatized.
