Wordle 221 4/6
β¬π¨β¬β¬β¬ β¬β¬π©π©π¨ β¬π©π©π©π© π©π©π©π©π©
Contrived to not getting it in three by making a true ridiculous guess which I really didn't expect to be accepted as a word!

Wordle 220 3/6 β¬π¨π¨β¬π¨ π©β¬π¨β¬π© π©π©π©π©π© My opening word finally worked well for me today! Heavy on vowels or heavy on consonants?

Wordle 220 3/6 β¬π¨π¨β¬π¨ π©β¬π¨β¬π© π©π©π©π©π© My opening word finally worked well for me today! Heavy on vowels or heavy on consonants? I've been using "EARLS". Works reasonable well as if neither E or A show up then an OI word guess taking out any missed constanents usually gets me pretty close.

Can't wait until the word is FLUFF.

Heavy on vowels or heavy on consonants? I've been using "EARLS". Is that a word? I always just assumed that plurals were not allowed.

It allows it. Was originally using "EARLY" but read S appears much more often in words statistically than Y.

Can't wait until the word is FLUFF. One of my two losses was with SISSY. I had a complete blind spot with that possibility.

Apparently the most used opening word is 'adieu' The thing with adieu is you only get two constanents out there on the first guess. Don't know whether that's a better thing than just using two vowels which usually gets you in the right direction vowel-wise... Who knows though π€·

If everybody went about it in the exact same way, I think it would die as a game pretty quickly.

THEIR - I want my e, i, r, & t out of the gate.
When e & i are vacant, it floods open the a &/or o options right away.
The letter n is overrated. The letter h is underrated.

An article I saw where a guy collected a whole bunch of data about this stuff that I didn't care to try to comprehend too much used 'Raise' initially to get to that same goal, but presumably 'Raise' is better because of the extra vowel and the low value of the letter 'H.' But he also concluded that the best opener was 'orate' based on whatever it was that he said.
