of course he is.
i'd suspected before Logan that they'd just let X23 take his place but the timeline (and tone, if that matters) of Logan suggest otherwise.

Probably because they think of him as Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and not X-men's Wolverine.

I won't mind when they recast Wolverine, but he's right to wait off on that. No need to rush it. After Logan, give audiences time to breathe.

Well, Jackman gave his blessing to Tom Hardy but he's playing Venom (for now).

They should wait a few years before recasting him

I don't think they should recast him at all. The character's dead, and we've seen all that we really needed to see regarding his story. It's time for Fox to move on.

Even with microwaves, you wait for it to cool off before eating. That's why you don't nuke it to the point it hurts you. A good temperature to make it last while you savor it. If you want more you nuke some more. If you ran out of ketchup, put some BBQ sauce on it (get a new actor). Even Snyder threw some spices on what he made before (BvS) and started on another almost right away (JL). They even took some of the fish from that and making another dish at the same time. ANALOGIES SON!!!

they do need to give Logan a chance to breathe and focus on other mutants. though I do wish they just let the main movies die with the Logan movie. those movies have nothing left after 17 years.
a full reboot is long overdue and this time, it is Cyclops and Gambit that should get the spotlight not wolverine.

Wouldn't a reboot kind of ruin what the past 17 years of X Men movies have stood for?

That it's ok to wait.

Well Logan provided some good closure to the franchise and rebooting would kind of ruin the emotional send off Logan gave the franchise.

But that wasn't a send off for the franchise. That was a send off for Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

The spices that he added was Justice League members in bigger roles and making it lighter in tone (not actual lighting and color). They started on Justice League right after BvS premiered. That's why Justice League is coming out a year and a half later. So, no, it's not subverting my original analogy. It's right in line with it. Waiting would be actually cooking something in a stove. Waiting is them saying they don't want to replace "Hugh Jackman's" Wolverine yet. They've become attached to the actor as the character and not the character itself (same as Reeve as Superman).

It's not in line with your point: which was "no waiting." If you have to reheat and other things, then you are waiting. Which was what I said. It's ok to wait. Even with microwave cooking.
Agreed. They did become attached to the actor's performance. Hence the letting it breathe.
And yes, there's a longer wait time with stove cooking. But it's usually a finer meal than a microwave.

I remember a WhatCulture article suggesting Aidan Turner for the part.
