I think maybe people don't really like it that much. I don't like it.
It's gotta be the worst kind of meat for me. Don't get me wrong, it's better than nothing .

Have you tried some of the different varieties that are available? Maybe you might find one you enjoy a little more.

I like hard salami on rye bread with cream cheese, the problem with salami is that whenever I eat it, I belch for hours so I only eat it about once a year, when I was younger, I ate it more often and usually drank beer with it - I guess when you get old, your digestive system changes. It is not a healthy meat but nowadays most things seem to be unhealthy. For me the worst meats are SPAM and organ meats.

Present. Salami, pastrami, pepperoni...not bologna though. Bologna is garbage.

It's good but it doesn't stay fresh long.

It's good but it doesn't stay fresh long. I hadn't had any in forever but my houseguest wanted some hard salami, so we bought a 3-pack at Costco, dated June 22, refrigerate after opening. Italian Dry, Peppered and Sopressata. Addictive!

It's alright I guess, but I don't eat it that often. Maybe 2-3 times a year at the most. It's pretty good on italian sandwiches.

My go-to cold cut is salami with prosciutto - a kind of mix between salami and prosciutto, as the name indicates. Other than that, I buy turkey breast, prosciutto and ham. I certainly don't dislike salami and will gladly eat it anytime, but I rarely buy it myself.

I love it on cold sandwiches and finger-foods. But, once I ordered a pizza with salami instead of pepperoni. Heated, it left a terrible after taste.

Loved salami! Venison sausage is very close, not as garlicky. Yes, it can go bad quickly if you don't wrap it good-mainly due to the garlic oil added to most. But I have not had either for over 30 years. Last time any of my brothers went hunting(venison) & most salami here is made with pork. And being in the food biz-I don't trust how it's made anymore.

I don't mind just a taste of it, but it's not something I'd eat too much of. It's too salty/briny, makes you crave beer or other beverages.

It's good but it doesn't stay fresh long. I agree, gw, and then it gets a weird 'funky' taste like underarm. lol But I love it fresh!
