Like Tim Curry, a fellow actor he admires, Robert Englund has been battling health issues for some years now and has hindered mobility.
What's the first time Englund caught your attention (if at all)?
Thanks!

Wow, I have not heard of that. Seeing him in most interviews he seems just fine.

Willie on V (1983). It was then cool and refreshing to find out that Freddy Kruegar was played by Willie from V.

The first time I saw Nightmare on Elm Street. I was like 8 and there were some cute girls watching it on a lobby TV because Johnny Depp was in it so I joined. The first murder scared me so much I left.

I wish I could say it was through either of the first Nightmare on Elm Street films. But I am pretty sure, my first memory of Robert Englund (from a movie) came through some "random" VHS rental movie experience, around 1996-97, when along with a few friends of mine, we all decided to pick up some neat looking VHS tapes, to watch over the weekend. The Mangler had such a ridiculous looking artwork going, and yeah, somehow it just never quite lived up to our expectations. Still, Englund is hard to forget, along with quite a few very nasty and unpleasant scenes. Of course, it could have been, that I might have seen him in a much smaller part, years earlier. But then I had absolute no idea who he was.

I love this picture, thanks for sharing it. Two of modern horror cinema's icons.
