I have it on my watch list but iirc there are so many variations of those boxsets and pricey. 😒 Pricey? The standard ones go for like $60 Canadian these days. Probably a little less USD. A little annoying because I remember paying a lot more for mine 10 years ago but that's the way it goes... Just stick the standard American or UK one? The house editions more collectors items, and while the illustrated ones are cool I don't think they've completed all of the books yet. And they're expensive. Otherwise... -GOT -Hunger Games -A Series of Unfortunate Events -Warriors -The Witcher -Wings of Fire -Dogman and Diary of Wimpy Kid are both popular with young children... -Baby-Sitters Club (you can get tins of the retro books like you've gotten with Goosebumps, but the graphic novels are probably more popular these days) -Twilight -50 Shades lol -Bridgerton maybe? -Little House -James Bond -Sherlock Holmes -Dragon Master -Calvin and Hobbes Also Manga. Manga sells. Don't ask me which ones, because I have no idea.

to the chagrin of my wife, yes!
i've got storage racks coming in sometime this year (they need to be built) to store the comics i have collected (~25,000) so i can finally sort them, bag and board them, and sell them.
once that is done, i am putting up my used books and purchasing new box sets.
i figured to see how that all goes then decide on step 2 or is that 3?
that's why i was looking for Rissa to check out the place. she is not too far from me.

$60 for a set? as an 80s kid i am not used to paying so much for books!
like the harry potter special series box set, retails for $130, on amazon for $85 and iirc those are paperback.
my parents would not have $85-130 to get me a set of books that were not encyclopedias

Not yet. But the kids and I have a few in mind!
It was good brain exercises to just exchange book store names and bounce them off of each other.
My little girl had a hoot.

There’s 7 books though! I dunno, it seems like a steal for me. But I bought them for like $110 and it was the largest purchase I ever made at 15 years old. True milestone moment. I’m surprised the paperbacks cost that much there. I wouldn’t bother with the special editions though - don’t think you’d be able to move them, and they’re kinda ugly anyway. 😐

So my wife was doing my books today and saw I had pre-ordered some items for delivery next month and sighed. "Are you really going to do this?" Yes. "Then talk to the CPA next week and make sure we do it the right away. Let him know it is not two separate companies but we will plan to co-mingle computers and books from the existing company." <---- this was her <---- this was me lol she then made the account lines for inventory - book shop purchases and sales - books and comics

So it's been a week and I've easily spent 3k on box sets as inventory plus more on hard backs. I set a limit of 15k including the new comic book shelves currently being built. I figured that's what I'd blow on a used BMW during a bout of midlife crisis. This year is the year everything comes together! 🥳 I really hope I make my saving throws... mikemonger

thekindercarebearwhen you get settled (or before) you might want to look into Dover Publication books ...(you may know about them already) especially IF they are not available in other shops in your area repro of old books on many subjects ... how to's ... coloring for all ages ... tons of crafts etc Not outrageously expensive for the buyer in the store even if sold at the list price and for the resellers, they used to discount for multi-purchases store.doverpublications.com/
