I’m of the opinion that being against vaccine mandates is dumb in general, and that a lot of the people who are opposed to them come across as conspiracy theorists who act like they’re being oppressed, even though it’s not like they’re being thrown in jail for not taking the vaccine, but that’s just me. Like I said though, I’m not calling for her to be fired. While I myself have already taken 3 vaccine shots, I think it's extremely judgemental to call people dumb just because they don't want to be forced to inject foreign substances into their bodies. My wife had a very severe reaction after her 2nd vaccine shot, had to rush her to the hospital twice because she seemed like she was having a heart attack, and now she seems to have developed a permanent case of pericarditis. She is now extremely hesitant to take her 3rd booster shot. So while I personally am more pro-vaccine than anti, I am certainly hoping the government (or society) doesn't start mandating us to take that 3rd shot like they did with the first two, because I'm not sure I'd like to risk my wife's health like that again. And I can certainly understand the point of view of other people not wanting to be mandated into taking the vaccines. All I'm trying to say, is that maybe we shouldn't be too judgemental of other people just because they have different opinions from us. Research has widely found the vaccines to be safe. However, it’s still advised that people take it easy after receiving their doses. I worked the day after I got the booster, which involved a lot of walking, and I admit that I felt like I was gonna pass out, but that doesn’t mean the vaccines are bad.

I worked the day after I got the booster, which involved a lot of walking, and I admit that I felt like I was gonna pass out, but that doesn’t mean the vaccines are bad. Let's be honest here. Whatever research that has gone on to these vaccines have only been happening for about 2 years, and they are far from perfect. These vaccines are very potent, with more side effects than majority of other vaccines out there. Majority of people will experience a very sore arm after and generally tend to get feverish for a day or two. It's also fairly new and untested, and we're not sure yet how it will affect us in the long term. Then there's the harsher side effects, like the one that caused me to rush my wife to the hospital twice, which I've never had to do for any other vaccine. We don't really have statistics for these side effects, so we don't know just how wide spread they are. Please don't be so stubborn that you're completely ignoring the experiences of others just because you yourself were fine. I'm not saying people shouldn't be taking them, but can we at least be open minded enough to admit that there are legitimate concerns about them?

Well, I have no clue what the situation with your wife is about, but this article explains the list of acceptable COVID vaccines: www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/covid-19-vaccines/advice.

Like I said, brushing it off. But for what it's worth, she got Pfizer and I got Moderna.

Like I said, brushing it off. But for what it's worth, she got Pfizer and I got Moderna. I’m not brushing anything off. A lot of the people who oppose vaccine mandates are anti-vaxxers in general. Again, I have no clue what went on with your wife, but vaccine mandates don’t even require that everyone be vaccinated. They usually just require that those who are not vaccinated get tested regularly.

Also, if I remember correctly, these types of vaccines were actually in development for about a decade at the very least.

It’s occurred to me recently that Marvel sure seems to have a lot of rather eccentric actors working with them. Mark Ruffalo is a conspiracy theorist and 9/11 truther, Gwyneth Paltrow is a snake oil saleswoman, Chris Pratt may or not support an anti-LGBT church (I’m not judging him for his Christian beliefs, but he does seem like a bit of a weird guy in general), and Letitia Wright and Evangeline Lilly think vaccines will put a chip in your body that will let Bill Gates control you or whatever. Also, Elon Musk was in Iron Man 2, and he’s a massive weirdo who actually is trying to put chips inside people’s brains. Well, at least Tom Holland seems pretty normal…for now! Wait, what kind of conspiracy theories does Ruffalo have a tendency to spread?

She said she’s against the mandates, not the vaccine. There’s a difference.

But she is not anti vaccine, she is anti mandate. You’re like the fifth person to claim that here.

It’s weird how all the female actors in the MCU are the ones embroiled in real life controversy: Gwen Paltrow, Evangalilly, Letitia Wright, and now Carol Dancers….

I guess I should once again clarify that I’m not saying Evangeline Lilly should be fired for this. I just made this thread because I thought this was noteworthy news.
But yeah, a lot of the MCU ladies seem to be getting in trouble lately.
