Cars 3 is 109 minutes, guess Mummy's running time ? It's 107 minutes, what the fuck ? Only 107 minutes ? I mean how ? How will they put everything into the movie ? The Russel Crow subplot, the mummy, character development... I'm really disappointed by this running time ...

Yeah, short running times are annoying the fuck out of me. Alien Covenant's biggest problem is that it should've been 3 hours, not 2.

Depending on the action movie (which is what The Mummy appears to be) the runtime should be short. But some (Assassin's Creed, for example) should've been longer. I think both of these runtimes appear to be okay for the material.

I think both of these runtimes appear to be okay for the material. The Brandan Fraser Mummy movie was 125 minutes long, and that movie came out in 1999, and was an adventure comedy. This movie is way more serious with a lot of subplots, and the ''dark universe'' subplot, so I really don't now how are they gonna squeeze all these element into 107 minutes.

If it gets bad reviews I bet Alex Kurtzman will come out saying the studio took scissors to the movie. And this guy is in charge of all the upcoming Dark Universe films?

Cars 3 focuses on character development and backstory, creating a rich tapestry of intrigue the likes of which one has rarely seen in cinema.

Well the first MI and Top Gun were both 110 mins and Raiders of the Lost Ark was 115 mins. So the 107 min running time might not necessarily be a bad thing.

Yes, but the first Indiana Jones movie had shorter credits, around 3 minutes. The movie without the credits was 112 minutes. The credits for The Mummy will probably be around 10 minutes. That's only 97 minutes of movie vs 112 minutes. Indiana Jones was actually 15 minutes longer.
