Yesterday's USC vs Stanford game featured Emmitt Smith's son, a running back at Stanford, versus Jerry Rice's kid, a receiver for the USC Trojans. Trojans won.  They both played well. |

It's got to be tough for some of them to be in their old man's shadows and attempt to make their way through life as their own man
It's why I'll be rooting for Bronny
Deion Sanders kid is the QB for Jackson State and he's good. Barry Sanders kid is a walk on for Michigan State's hoops team
We had one of Evander Holyfields 20,000 illegitimate kids on the Eagles as a RB
I always find myself rooting for them to succeed....

I have to agree with you. I find myself rooting for these kids too. Definitely gotta be hard living up to the hype, whether it's deserved or not. Even at the USC-Stanford game, they keep panning the camera towards their dads. Emmitt's kid was more of a slot receiver type coming out of high school. Kid had over a hundred total yards and 2 tds so he played very well.

Memphis is a good team
Eej was like 13 / 25 or so with over 180 yards - 0 TDS 0 INTs
But the last couple of possessions late in the 4th he's thrown a couple of picks - putting a lot of pressure on himself and forcing a couple of balls
Young lion will learn - he's just a freshman....

He's a freshman and was playing lights out against a great team
He was just trying to force balls at the end of game trying to make something out of nothing - had a Renegade Attitude about him trying to pull a rabbit out of his hat when nothing was there = I admire him trying to improvise but he's only a freshman and he'll learn that every game isn't going to go your teams way....
Even Dan Marino lost some games here and there ......
